OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHTS

Outdoor movie screen rental.

An outdoor cinema that doesn't wait for dark. Showtime's trailer-mounted LED screens hold a crisp picture at dusk, so movie night starts on the schedule you printed — with delivery, placement, audio, power and teardown handled by our crew.

WHO BOOKS THIS

Parks, pools, neighborhoods and main streets.

Movie nights are the most common community rental in Kansas City. These are the settings we run them in.

CITY PARKS & REC

Movies-in-the-park series and one-off community screenings — Overland Park's Arboretum movie nights run on a Showtime trailer.

POOLS & AQUATIC CENTERS

Dive-in movies with the screen placed at the pool edge so swimmers and deck seating both get a clear view.

HOAS & NEIGHBORHOODS

Screens on a common green or cul-de-sac — Olathe's Hampton Park movie night is a typical neighborhood booking.

SCHOOLS & PTAS

Family movie nights on the practice field or blacktop, with audio sized for the crowd and a start time that works for young kids.

MAIN STREETS & DISTRICTS

Screenings in a closed-off block or district plaza, positioned so shops and patios keep sightlines.

CHURCHES & NONPROFITS

Outreach nights and fundraisers with pre-show slides, sponsor thank-yous and the feature on one screen.

HOW IT WORKS

Delivered, raised, powered and playing.

You pick the film and the spot; we bring everything else. A movie night is a single trailer, a playback source, audio for the crowd and a crew member who stays for the show.

  • PLAYBACK

Blu-ray, streaming device or laptop — we connect it and run the pre-show loop, trailers and the feature.

  • AUDIO

Powered speakers scaled to the lawn, so dialogue carries to the back row without blasting the front.

  • POWER

Onboard battery, shore power or a quiet generator depending on the site — no cords across the crowd.

  • LICENSING

Public screenings need a public performance license from the studio's licensing agent. We'll point you to the right one; we don't supply the film.

RECOMMENDED SCREENS

Which screen for a movie night?

Crowd size and viewing distance set the screen. Most neighborhood and park movie nights fit a 12′ × 7′; larger park series and district screenings step up to the 16′ × 9′.

FAQ

Outdoor Movie Screen Rental questions

Yes. That's the main reason to rent LED instead of a projector. At 7,500 nit the picture is clear at dusk, so an 8pm summer start is fine for families with young kids.
